COMMISSION MEETING
The Arkansas Livestock and Poultry Commission will hold a public hearing followed by a regular commission meeting on April 1, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. The hearing and meeting will be held in the Livestock and Poultry conference room located at #1 Natural Resources Drive, Little Rock, Arkansas. The purpose of the hearing is to review a proposed amendment to the Laboratory/Regulatory Fee Schedule. The amendment will add a 10% late penalty to delinquent accounts.
All interested parties are invited to attend the public hearing and present written and/or oral testimony.

Private Tester School Dates 2010
Poultry Blood Testing Schools have been scheduled for Wednesday April 7th in Fayetteville, Wednesday April 14th in Little Rock, Wednesday May 5th in Batesville and Tuesday June 1st in Hope.
The school in Fayetteville will be held at the U of A Pauline Whittaker Animal Science Center. Take exit 66 off of I-540 and the center is ½ mile on the right. Registration for the Fayetteville school will be at 8:50 am with class convening at 9:00 am.
The school in Little Rock will be held at the U of A Cooperative Extension Service Auditorium, 2301 So. University, located between UALR and 12th Street. Registration for the Little Rock school will be at 8:50 am with class convening at 9:00 am.
The School in Batesville will be held at the University of Arkansas Livestock & Foresty Research Station, 70 Experiment Station Drive. Coming from Hwy 67/167, take exit 55 toward Batesville. Turn left on US-64/167 for 32 miles, keep right on US-167 Batesville Blvd., turn left on SR-69/White Drive about 10 miles, turn left on Hwy106 about 3-4 miles then turn left on Experiment Station Drive. Registration for the Batesville school will be at 9:30 am with class convening at 9:40 am.
The school in Hope will be held at the Southwest District Fair Ground-Fair Park Office Building. From Little Rock, take exit 30 off of I-30. Cross back over the interstate, and go approximately two miles. You will be turning right on Hwy 67 (also 3rd Street). About 2-1/2 blocks up, you will take a left on to Hwy. 174 S which is also Springhill Road. Continue on 174 until you get to Jones Street and take a right. The community center/park office is the 2nd building on the left (right now it is painted green). Registration for the Hope school will be at 9:30 am with class convening at 9:40 am.
Commercial Tester School Dates 2010
Poultry Testing Schools have been scheduled for Tuesday April 6th in Fayetteville and Tuesday April 13th in Little Rock.
The school in Fayetteville will be held at the University of Arkansas Pauline Whittaker Animal Science Center. Take exit 66 off of I-540 and the center is ½ mile on the right. Registration for the Fayetteville school will be at 8:50 a.m. with class convening at 9:00 a.m. The class should end in the early to mid-afternoon.
